About

This hymn is set to the music of “Jupiter” from Gustav Holst’s The Planets, which has been used in the UK for many years as the anthem “I Vow to Thee My Country.” The tune name is Thaxted, after Holst’s birthplace.

Music arranged by Robert W. Davis.

This favorite piece of music is paired with a favorite scripture: Helaman 5:12. The 3 verses paraphrase the scriptural text, including the admonition to build a sure foundation upon the rock of Christ and the promise that such a foundation will help us withstand the storms of the adversary. The refrain of each verse reminds us that those who build on the rock of Christ will never fall.

Text by Robert W. Davis.
